Tidbit for the Eden Fire Company:

Their 1974 Mack CF-795F, 4-door, 1250/500, 55 ft snorkel - purchased used from the Pikesville Fire Company (Baltimore County, MD) in 1987. Delivered to Pikesville on 12/22/78. It was placed into service on 4/15/79 and housed on 10/7/79. The Eden company members did all the sanding for it to be repainted. It was sold to the Grand Bay Volunteer Fire Company (Mobile County, AL) in 10/94. Seen 10/09 sitting in a lot on US RT. 1 in Elkridge Md. I was told a Career Firefighter at Baltimore County Sta. 7 now owns it and plans on restoring it back to the way Pikesville had it.

Good People,

I heard some things about apparatus that I need verification on, plus I have some questions:

1) Did Lincoln of Ephrata purchase Madera's 2004 KME rescue ?
2) If #1 is true, is Ephrata Area Rescue going out of business ?
3) If #1 is true, will they be selling the 1989 Ford Cargo/Ranger squad ?
4) If #2 is true, what will happen to there apparatus ?
5) I see on E-Bay that Station 5-2 is selling their 1969 Dodge PW brush unit - I would presume they are replacing it ? In the pic on E-Bay, I believe there is a Ford p/u in the background ? What year is it ? Where did they get it from ?
6) Is Paradise putting a brush truck together ?
7) Is Maytown selling their 1980 Mack R/SWAB (ex. Middletown, PA) ?
8) Did Elizabethtown order a Sutphen engine & tower ?
9) Did Reamstown sell the old tower yet ?
10) Will Manhiem sell the old rescue and the old engine ?
11) Did Lititz have to send the new engine back due to paint issues ?
12) Did Farmersville sell their p/t ?
13) What happened to New Holland's old air unit ?
14) West Willow - what are they getting to replace the Dodge PW ?

I believe that is all for now. I am not trying to stir the pot with the questions on Ephrata - just trying to get straight answers so I can update my files.

Many thanks,

Bruce

Not at this time. We're looking at future options but nothing is taking place right now.
